Hair informs the basis of Althea Murphy-Price’s installation-based work, in which she utilities the aesthetic and conceptual role of the multiple. Through excessive repetition, her pieces question ideas of ritual within the context of cultural identity. Murphy-Price also uses stencils to create intricate patterned floor arrangements using finely cut hair-clippings.

Wendy Wolf works within a restrained structure of obsessively repeated process—mark making, tracing, cutting, sorting, and assembling. Wolf's series "Natural Repetition" examines the intricate and beautiful marks made by "pests" as they've eaten through leaves. She collects, traces and reproduces damaged leaves out of paper to create installations and framed pieces utilizing shapes from the whole leaves as well as the marks made from the pests.
